Valerie Coho-Mescal

Research Program Assistant

I've learned a lot more about public health since I started at the Center, and I’ve had the opportunity to use some of my nursing skills that I learned in school. I’ve had a chance to work with two different studies and am looking forward to working with future studies. Working for the Center has been a rewarding and wonderful experience.

Valerie has worked for CAIH since 2008, and has had the opportunity to work with both the BH and ID teams. She very much enjoyed working with the Cradling our Future program as a Family Health Liaison, where she worked with the teen mothers. She worked in Whiteriver with the AIDs project, and while she found it challenging, she found it very rewarding and enjoyed every minute of it. She currently works at the Gallup site as an RPA.
