NARCH Program Coordinator
My inspiration comes from my family and community. My grandfather always told me to leave the reservation and continue my education, but to always come back and share what I learned with my People, to help my People. My grandmother told me to never forget who I am and where I come from. So being born and raised on the reservation, I understood the needs for my family and community.
Ryan returned to the Center in Fall 2018 as NARCH Program Coordinator, after receiving his degree in Applied Indigenous Studies with a Minor in Communications with Northern Arizona University. He worked at the Tuba City, AZ site in 2013-2016 as a Research Assistant with the Together On Diabetes program and became the Program Coordinator for the Native Vision Year Round Program. Ryan is excited to be back with the Center, working for Indigenous communities to promote a positive and healthy lifestyle.
