Nina was born and raised in the small Greek community of Tarpon Springs, FL. She earned both her undergraduate degree and medical doctorate at the University of Florida, where she also met her husband, Eric. After graduation, they moved to Boston where they completed their residencies in the Harvard Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds) Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. They then moved to the Navajo Reservation and joined the Indian Health Service in 2012. Nina is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She initially worked at the IHS Chinle Comprehensive Healthcare Facility for 3 years as a Medical Officer. She joined the Center for American Indian Health in 2014. She is the study physician at the Chinle, AZ site and works with the Center’s Infectious Disease Team.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Four Corners area (hiking, camping, photography) with her husband and two young sons.
