Melissa Christianson was born and raised in the four corners area. She has worked in and around the Navajo reservation since she was a young girl. She attended and graduated from San Juan College with an associate degree in Nursing and the University of New Mexico with Bachelors Degree of Science in nursing simultaneously. Since then she worked in public health with central consolidated school district as a district Nurse. She then joined the Johns Hopkins Infectious Disease team since October 2019 and has been assisting with several studies. She is excited to be assisting the Dine people by preventing disease and contributing to a healthier nation.
