Research Program Assistant
Julius (Diné) joined the Center for American Indian Health as a Research Assistant in May of 2021. Julius’ clans are Ma’ii Deeshgiizhinii (Coyote Pass clan) and Tó Dích’íi’nii (Bitter Water clan). Julius is from Blue Gap (Tachee), AZ.
He brings with him his Bachelor of Science degree in American Indian Studies, minor in Communications from Arizona State University, and years of experience working as a grassroots organizer in Indigenous communities. Julius’ primary areas of expertise are disseminating resource information to American Indians, and networking with community organizers to bring about positive change for their people. He is also passionate about working with Native heirloom seeds to revive farming and food sovereignty in Indigenous communities.
