Johanna Blais is a member of the Diné Nation, Her clans are Yoo'ó dine'é (The Bead People clan) born for Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge clan). Her maternal grandfather’s clan is Tódich'ii'nii (Bitter Water clan) and her paternal grandfather’s clan is Tódich'ii'nii ( Bitter Water Clan). Johanna joined Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health at Shiprock, NM in 2019 as a Research Program Assistant. Johanna was recently promoted to Research Program Coordinator. She collaborates with multiple infectious disease research teams to ensure both staff and participant expectations and requirements are met all around the Navajo Nation. Johanna received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and a minor in Indigenous studies from Fort Lewis College.
