Biography

Dylan Begay, BSc is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. He is Tsé Ńjíkiní (Cliff Dweller/Among the Rocks) and born for Tó’áhání (Near the Water). His maternal grandpa is Bit’ahnii (Within His Cover), and her paternal grandpa is Tábąąhí (Water's Edge).

Dylan is a Research Assistant at the Center for American Indian Health at the Fort Defiance, AZ site office and lives in Crystal, NM. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration with a Minor in Native American & Indigenous Studies from Fort Lewis College and his Associates in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Athletic Training from New Mexico Military Institute. During his academic career, he has focused on an academic thesis for his Bachelor on how COVID-19 impacted students attending Fort Lewis College during 2020-2021. Dylan is currently looking to further is academic career in obtaining a Master of Science in Public Health.
