Creating your Community Advisory Board

A Community Advisory Board often referred to as CAB, is a type of advisory board consisting of individuals passionate about positively impacting their communities. The Feast for the Future CABs are composed of individuals dedicated to improving the health and culture of their communities by providing increased access to nutritious foods and indigenous agriculture.

The CAB is the foundational component of the Feast for the Future program. It is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating projects aimed at preventing adverse health in community members through culturally sensitive and traditionally based means.

As you embark on the development of your Feast for the Future program in your community, it is essential that you first develop a Community Advisory Board to guide the creation of the rest of the Feast for the Future components.
