Being a mother of 3, Angel has experienced the burden diseases have brought to her home. It isn’t fun, nor is it easy to care for a sick child so working with the infectious disease team has helped Angel become more aware of the past, present, and future clinical trials among the White Mountain Apache and Navajo tribes. Working in research has broadened her mind in vaccination production and it also gives her comfort in knowing that she’s contributing to the trials through her duties with the Center.
Angel has been with the Center for American Indian Health’s Infectious Disease (ID Team) since December 2011. She is the lab manager for the on-going Active Bacterial Surveillance study, associate Research Program Assistant for the SPNG (Streptococcus Next Generation) study, and the shipping trainer for all the Center’s sites.
